Frosted Designs Blog Hop Winner!

Well, I could have used the random number generator thingy but decided it would be more fun for baby girl to pick a winner out of the magic hat! There were 37 eligible comments, I printed them out, folded them up, and placed them in the magic hat . . .

. . . Baby girl picked one and unfolded it . . .

. . . and showed it to Mommom (up side down!) . . .

. . . and the winner is:

Love your layout! I have fond memories of helping my dad with his model trains and the grandkids all love watching the trains run.

Now, wasn't that way more fun than random generator?

So, if you are Snips and Snails please email me (tgfenster@gmail.com) your snail mail address by March15th and I'll get your prize out to you!

Fabulous Friday - Joy Wreath

Greetings! This weeks Fabulous Friday's at Frosted Designs challenge is:
"Shape It Up x 3" -
Pick a geometric shape and use it three times on your project.
This week it was my turn to do an off the page project and I chose to make this wreath:

Here are some close ups (click to enlarge)

I hope you are inspired to make a layout, card, or off the page project using a geometric shape three times and enter it at Frosted Designs for a chance at a great prize from our sponsor "Buttons Galore and More"!

Thanks for looking at my blog! I truly appreciate your comments
 (and followers!)!

I used a 12" straw wreath from ACMoore, they come wrapped in plastic for just $3.19. Don't take the plastic off if you are going to cover it up - that will save you the mess and odor of the straw!
I wrapped the wreath with 6 1/2 yards of 2 1/2" burlap ribbon - this was free because my  mom gave it to me from her stash! I made the roses using pink Bazzil cardstock (left over from my daughter's wedding in 2007) with the Spellbinder's Rose Creation dies. I rubbed VersaMark dazzle ink on the edges of the individual petals to darken them a bit and make them have a sheen before assembling the roses. The doilies are by Royal Lace and the leaves are by Prima. I inked the leaves with Ranger Forrest Moss Distress Ink. Making Memories Mini Blossoms are mixed in with the roses and are attached using stick pins with pearls on the heads. The banner is made with a base of BoBunny Chiffon Dot paper with Making Memories Je t'Adore on top, both inked with Ranger Gathered Twigs Distress Ink. I used Sizzlits "Funky Brush" font for my letters and enameled them with Glossy Accents. The lace is by Wyla purchased at ACMoore. The butterfly is punched from the same patterned paper as the banner using a Martha Stewart punch and inked with Ranger Barn Door Distress Ink.

Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday Challenge and Blog Hop!

Woo Hoo! Blog Hop day is here! The team at Frosted Designs has an awesome blog hop line-up for you with lots of prizes along the way, you have until Thursday Feb 16th at noon central to complete the hop!
If you arrived from Angela's blog, you are in the right place ~ if you stopped by to visit me (or if you're completely lost) and would like to start at the beginning of the hop - click here!

The Fabulous Friday Challenge this week is to use the word "Love" on your project - how easy is that!

It looks like my grandson Jacob is going to join the generations of my husband's family of "Boys Who Love Trains" and we couldn't be more thrilled!

My layout is based on this awesome sketch by Jenny Evans who is on the team at Boys Rule Kits as well as the Frosted Designs team.
Boys Rule Kits is the sponsor of the Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday Challenge this week!

So I guess you're wondering what words you need from me in order to complete your sentence for the blog hop - they are "it be". After you have visited all the blogs on the hop and have the complete mystery sentence, e-mail it to danica4us@yahoo.com.

I know you want to get on with the hop, so I'm not going to ask for anything more than a comment to be entered for the prize on my blog, but I would sure love it if you'd become a follower here and stop back some time and visit me again! One name will be randomly drawn from the comments to win this prize from me:

I hope you will make a project using the word "LOVE" and link it up at Frosted Designs this week! FD is an awesome challenge blog that gives special recognition to three projects every week and also gives a prize to one random draw winner EVERY week!

Your next stop is Erin's blog - happy hopping!
